Marine Corps Lance Corporal John Hamilton proudly served his country for five years. He served with B Company 1st Battalion 24th Marines and deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. On September 30, 2022, he passed away due to cancer. LCpl Hamilton received many awards and decorations for his service including the Armed Forces Reserve Medal with Device, Iraq Campaign Medal, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, and Global War on Terrorism Service Medal.
