Goals: Work as a mental health professional with first responders and veterans.

Edward Picht proudly served in law enforcement for 18 years. He began his career as a Boat Patrol Officer in the summer of 2000. He then transferred to Anoka Sheriff’s department as a Bailiff Officer, and then to Wright County Sheriff's department as a K-9 Officer. In 2005, Officer Picht started in Montevideo as a Conservation Officer. He responded to countless calls and worked with disaster relief at wildfires across the country as a wildfire investigator and evacuator. He earned many awards for his service including the Lifesaving Award, Wildlife Society Officer of the Year, and Conservation Officer of the Year posthumously. On October 1, 2018, Officer Picht passed away due to career-related PTSD.
