THANKS TO YOU

NEARLY 62,000 LIVES

HAVE BEEN FOREVER CHANGED

The gift of an education changes more than one life. It has the power to impact generations. And thanks to you, more than 62,000 family members of America’s fallen or disabled military and first responders have found support from like-minded fellow citizens throughout every up and down of their journey – and are now stepping into futures full of possibility and hope with a scholarship.

Below, you can watch the stories of a few of these deserving young men and women as they share what it means to be the recipient of your generosity and gratitude.

Thank you for letting them know they are not forgotten.

WHERE ARE THEY NOW

ALLIE

Allie McCrea’s dad, Kevin, was a U.S. Army Specialist who sacrificed his life in service to his country after he was fully disabled due to a spinal cord injury. Two weeks after Allie graduated high school, Kevin passed – leaving behind a legacy of honor, commitment, and a passion for education. Thanks to her Folds of Honor scholarship, Allie got a degree, went to graduate school, and now works in the hospital that cared for her father, giving back to other patients with spinal cord injuries.

WHERE ARE THEY NOW

STEPHEN

Stephen Frederico was working multiple jobs and even lived in his car at one point – but he dreamed of making it through medical school, driven by the passion to never squander the sacrifice his father, a former U.S Marine, made for him during his years of service. The generosity of Folds of Honor donors made it possible for Stephen to receive a scholarship and pursue his dream. “It’s allowed me to be financially free and just focus on finding how I want to give back to the world,” Stephen says, “and that is a precious gift.”
