Navy Senior Chief Petty Officer Danny Yi proudly served his country for 24 years. He deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Desert Shield, Operation Southern Watch, Operation United Shield. He served aboard the USS John S Mcain and USS Lake Erie. SCPO Yi received many awards and decorations for his service including the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (5), Joint Meritorious Unit Award, Navy Unit Commendation, National Defense Service Medal, Southwest Asia Service Medal, Korea Defense Service Medal.
