MEET JAMES MCNULTY

James McNulty proudly served as a firefighter for 18 years. He began his career with the FDNY in Ladder 170 in the spring of 2001. A few months later, he found himself at Ground Zero on September 11. Even though he was off duty that day, Firefighter McNulty raced to the nearest fire house, grabbed gear, and headed to the World Trade Center. In 2010, McNulty saved a child from a house fire and was awarded the M.J. Delehanty Medal for his heroic acts. Before being medically retired in 2019 due to a line of duty injury, Firefighter McNulty served in Squad 252, Special Operations Command in Bushick, Brooklyn, as search and rescue for downed firefighters.
