Air Force Senior Master Sergeant Roderick Baltazar proudly served his country for 22 years. As an Explosive Ordnance Disposal specialist, he was stationed in Kuwait, Vietnam, Alaska, Laos, and Cambodia. He deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. SMSgt Baltazar received many awards and decorations for his service including the Bronze Star w/1 Oak Leaf Cluster, Meritorious Service Medal w/2 Oak Leaf Clusters, Air Force Commendation Medal w/4 Oak Leaf Clusters, Joint Meritorious Unit Award w/1 Oak Leaf Cluster, National Defense Service Medal w/1 Service Star, Southwest Asia Service Medal w/1 Service Star, Iraq Campaign Medal w/1 Service Star, Korean Defense Medal.
